A more recently written sci-fi story about humans living on an alien planet with hostile creatures. The concept of Semiosis (not just living side by side) relationship across species is pretty new in the sci-fi I’ve read. There is also a second book in the duology, which I have not read. The book is interesting, but merely imagining a different life form and writing a book about it would not persuade me to recommend it.
